You will be the talk of the campground with this fifth wheel! Its unique butler pantry is perfect for entertaining guests with the U-shaped counter, overhead cabinets to store your drinkware, and cooler to keep your beverages cold while still leaving space in the 20 cu. ft. stainless steel refrigerator for your perishables. You can have game night indoors at the table and chairs or set up a table and chairs underneath the two power awnings. The rear living area offers a comfortable place to watch the big game too with a 88" split tri-fold sofa and 65" power theater seating directly across from the entertainment center with an electric fireplace and 50" TV with JBL sound system. Two can get ready at once in the front bathroom with the dual sink vanity and you can even add an optional washer and dryer!
Experience a different camping life with residential furnishings and high end features in each one of these Palomino Columbus fifth wheels! The 101" wide body lets you walk around more throughout and the all-welded aluminum-frame superstructure has a snap-in ceiling molding to hold up through every adventure. Don't leave any of your gear behind either when you can easily store it in the climate controlled drop frame storage area. On the exterior, you'll find a heated utility convenience center, an outside shower to keep the dirt outside where it belongs, and an outside FM/Bluetooth receiver with USB port to crank up the tunes. Plus, there are some modern features that will really seal the deal, like the Wi-Fi Booster with 4G LTE capability, the central vacuum system, the preparations for a washer/dryer, the electric fireplace, and the preparations for 200W solar panels with 6V batteries.

As demand for the Palomino grew, Mr. Landey felt it would benefit his company, Vanguard Ind., to relocate. With most manufacturers and industry suppliers located in the Elkhart, In. area the move eastward seemed logical. Vanguard Industries settled in the community of Colon in 1972. Once in Colon he began to put his plans in motion. By 1973 he had built the main production facility and within days Palomino tent trailers were rolling out the doors.
In 1976, Vanguard added its own Needle Division, in 1978 its own Metal Fabrication Plant, and has several cold storage facilities. On May 27, 1992, the primary production building and offices were destroyed by fire. By late August, 1992, the first 1993 model Palomino rolled of the line in the new 52,300 sq. ft. facility, which was built on the same site as the previous building had been.
The year 1998 continued to see expansion with the addition of a new 75,000 sq. ft. production facility, and another storage facility. In 2002 Vanguard was purchased by Forest River, Inc. This allowed for rapid growth and the introduction of two new towable lines of travel trailers and fifth wheels, Puma and Sabre by Palomino.
